Wellbeing

We have a very special and nurturing environment. Our children are happy in their own skins and proud of their achievements in all areas.

Small class sizes allow us to identify and support each child’s individual needs with extra help and guidance or further challenge and stretch. We treat our pupils with respect and encouragement, helping them make the most of the opportunities we provide and to do their best in all areas. The children thoroughly enjoy school and develop independence and resilience in a kind and supportive environment.<

Wrap around care for children from Year 1 to Year 6

Alton Prep provides high-quality, safe and enjoyable activities for children of busy parents before and after school hours.  It is staffed by our own members of staff and a team of parents who run clubs, including supervised prep.

The Breakfast Club starts at 08.00 until the beginning of the school day at 08.40. Children experience a calm start to the day where they may bring their own preferred breakfast to eat in the company of their school friends. A range of activities, suitable for the time of day, will then be available. There is a charge of £3.00 per session.

After School Care and Clubs

After School Care runs from the end of your child’s school day until 6.00pm.  If your child is taking part in an extra-curricular club, it is possible for them to join the After School Care team before or after that activity.  There are a variety of activities on offer for Pre-Prep children including physical activity outdoors, indoor games and art and craft activities.  Prep children are able to use the time to focus on their homework.

Children will be offered a biscuit and a drink, they  may also bring their own snack if they wish. Clubs which are run by teaching staff are free, some externally run clubs are charged for and After School Care costs £3.00 per hour or part thereof.

Reception children attend before and after school care within the Nursery and this is charged for.
