Welcome to our Nursery

Alton School Nursery is a safe, caring and happy place, welcoming children from the age of 6 months all the way through to Pre-school. The combination of the School setting and our highly qualified staff means we give your little ones the best possible start to their early education.

Set within our beautiful private grounds, the children have endless opportunities for outdoor learning, exploring and adventure.

We see ourselves as an extension of your family – we listen to you as parents and make sure that you are kept up to date on a daily basis.

Our Nursery is open from 8.00am – 6.00pm, 50 weeks of the year with on-site parking.

Lunch, breakfast and snacks are available.

In the Nest, Chicks and Robins (0-3 yrs),  a minimum of two days or 20 hours per week and 51 weeks per year may be booked.

From the term after children turn 3, they are eligible for 15 hours EYE funding and may choose to be term time only or full time (50 weeks a year). Please get in touch for more information.

Why join us for Pre-school

We are lucky to be very much part of the caring and supportive Alton School community.

We benefit from our extensive woodland outdoor setting and the School’s sports facilities.

We give your child the equivalent of a year’s worth of school-like experience before starting school.

We offer a breadth of preschool learning activities, using our experience as educators to teach phonics and numeracy as well as having fun with art, music and Spanish.

We encourage children to socialise widely, so they are ready socially and emotionally for School.

Ultimately our aim is to make sure each child’s transition to school is as seamless as possible.
