The early years pass so quickly. It is when children begin to acquire the vital skills they will need throughout the rest of their life and an important time to find the right learning environment for them.

At Alton School we prioritise getting to know your child. To develop and grow, children need to get lost in their imagination, try new things and find spaces to be themselves.

With excellent teaching, small class sizes and a wide range of opportunities we aim to stimulate their curiosity and find their unique spark.

We make sure everyone feels included and is stretched and challenged in the appropriate way for them.

Our Reception Class is free flowing into a dedicated outdoor play area and we regularly head out for a woodland walk or even some den building in our beautiful grounds.

In addition to their Class teacher, we have specialist teachers for art, music, languages and sport. All our Prep School children have access to our sports hall, playing fields and courts. They have their own art and music room and make regular use of our fabulous Drama Studio.

Above all it’s about giving your child the most brilliant experience – one that is joyful and one that is precious.
