Reception Class
Thank you for showing interest in Alton School’s Reception Class.
We are very proud of the start we are able to give children when they join us in Year R and we hope that you are able to join us at one of our open events to get a feel for what makes us shine. There is more information on our Reception Class here.

We are so delighted that families can come and see us in action at one of our Open Events or join one of our taster days. Once you have registered, we will be in touch with further information including exact timings and the format of the event.
We have a Teddy Bear Hunt on Tuesday 23 May for those considering joining our Reception class in September 2024.
We have 4 taster or “Getting to know us” mornings for those joining us in September 2023, when children can get to know their class teacher, the Alton School setting and make new friends. We encourage new starters to come to as many of these as they can. These are on:

Monday 26 June – Reception class entry 2023
Monday 3 July – Reception class entry 2023 (Teddy Bear Picnic)
2024-25 entry events coming soon…
And we have a whole School Reception to Sixth Form Open Event on Saturday 30 September. This is great time to see our whole school community in action, hear from the Headmaster, meet pupils and staff and enjoy some lunch with us.
