Meals and snacks in the Early Years Department consist of healthy, freshly prepared food. Our main meals of lunch and tea, are specially prepared on a daily basis by our catering company, Care Catering, who specialise in the supply of food for children from first weaning to the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Fresh ingredients, locally sourced, are used wherever possible, and contain no additives or preservatives.
All allergies and special diets are catered for and food is prepared in a nut-free environment.
We offer a home-from-home routine in the Nest. Snacks are provided and, if required, we will supply breakfast, consisting of cereal and toast. If your baby is having formula milk, we ask that you provide this. Main meals are at an additional cost.
Breakfast, consisting of cereal, toast and a drink, will be offered for the older children arriving between 8am and 8.20am. If parents prefer, they are welcome to provide an alternative breakfast. A mid-morning snack of fresh fruit, milk, or water, is provided at 10.15am.
Lunch, at an additional cost, is served at midday. A sample weekly menu is attached below.
The afternoon snack for the older children is served at approximately 2.45pm and consists of bread and butter, or a similar carbohydrate food, milk, or water.
