Nursery Admissions

As part of Alton School, one of the top Catholic schools in Hampshire, our faith underpins all that we do. We strongly believe that every child is a blessing and brings something special. Each is cared for as an individual, because no two children are the same.

Alton Nursery is a safe, nurturing place welcoming children from the age of 6 months. Through love, care and exciting activities, we give your child the best possible start in life.

The Reception class is a buzz with happy, confident and independent learners having a whale of a time. Splashing water, daubing paint, singing or dressing up, we know that every day is precious. We aim to enjoy them all!

In the Nest, Chicks and Robins a minimum of two full days per week/20 hours and 50 weeks per year may be booked.

Sessions run from 8.00am – 6.00pm

Parents of Nursery children from three years and upwards, once in receipt of EYE funding, may choose to be term-time only or full-time (50 weeks a year) and choose a variation of start and end times. Details available upon request.

Book an individual visit at Alton.

We offer individual tours of the Early Years Department by Mrs Harvey, Nursery Manager.

If you wish to book a visit please contact us on 01420 82070 and speak to Mrs Pigott, Admissions Registrar

By completing a Registration Form and returning with the required £75 fee, you are showing a firm expression of interest and this is the first step towards securing a place at the Nursery.

You can access copies of our registration form by clicking on the links to the right of this page. Once we have received a completed Registration Form and Fee, we will write to offer your son or daughter a place subject to availability and we will ask you to complete an Acceptance Form and return it with a £400 deposit to secure the place. If the Nursery is full you will be offered the opportunity to place your son or daughter on a waiting list or your Registration Fee will be returned.

Before you son or daughter joins the Early Years department, you will be contacted to organise taster sessions for you and your child.

These are opportunities for your child to familiarise themselves with their peers, before joining us.
