Charity Memorial Walk for Maddy

By Published On: July 3rd, 2023

On Monday, July 3rd, the Alton School community came together for a Memorial Walk to remember Maddy, a cherished former pupil. This heartfelt event also served as a fundraiser for the ‘Maddy’s Mark’ charity, which provides crucial support to those struggling with mental health challenges. The occasion was marked by emotions and inspiration, and it is with immense pride that we share the success of our fundraising efforts for this cause.

The Memorial Walk brought pupils, parents, and staff together to pay tribute to Maddy’s memory and support the ‘Maddy’s Mark’ charity. It was a poignant reminder of the importance of mental health awareness and the impact it has on individuals and their families.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the walk and contributed to the cause. Your involvement has made a significant difference in supporting those facing mental health difficulties. Your generosity and compassion are truly commendable.

Maddy’s family expressed their appreciation for the event and the community’s unwavering support, saying, “To everyone who took part in our Maddy’s Mark Memorial Walk on Monday, all the parent helpers, the children, and staff – keeping Maddy’s memory alive means so much to us, and we cannot thank you enough. Wishing you all a fun and relaxing summer break.” – The Lawrence Family

The Alton School community remains committed to fostering an environment of care, compassion, and unity, where the memory of loved ones like Maddy can continue to shine brightly.
