Celebration of Christmas 2023
In a wonderful evening of yuletide cheer, we recently hosted our much-anticipated annual “Celebration of Christmas” concert, uniting pupils from Years 3 to 13 for a festive array of carols, musical performances, readings and lessons.
The Welsford Hall was decked out at its Christmas best, setting the perfect stage for the evening. Our parents, governors, staff, and community members created an atmosphere of holiday spirit.
Our readers delivered their messages with wonderful poise and clarity while our choirs filled the hall with festive cheer. A special mention goes to our orchestra with their lovely rendition of “Walking in the Air,” and our community choir, who serenaded us with the classic “White Christmas.”
Heartfelt gratitude extends to our dedicated music department and to our generous attendees who opened their hearts and wallets, raising over £1000 for Alton Foodbank and Naomi House & Jacksplace.

Gold Duke of Edinburgh for Alumni
Congratulations to Michael, a former pupil of Alton Convent School, on achieving his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. Michael celebrated this milestone by attending the Gold DofE Celebration at Buckingham Palace on his 18th birthday! During the event, he received a personal introduction to HRH Prince Edward, who extended birthday greetings and congratulations on his award. [...]
