ISI Inspection Report March 2017
Our last Inspection was undertaken in March 2017 and the subsequent report was glowing and highly complimentary about our school. I am extremely proud of our staff, pupils, parents and Sisters and thank you all for the part you play in making us such a wonderful and thriving community.
You will see that in all areas of the inspection, and in all parts of the school from Nursery to Sixth Form, we achieved the top rating in every single category. Our pupils’ academic and other achievements as well as their personal development were found to be excellent.
Our remarkable success in making the most of every individual pupil’s potential – the value-added measure in education – is well reflected in the report. It confirms that pupils of all abilities, the academically gifted as well as those who need extra help and support, make excellent progress with us and achieve high standards across all curriculum areas.
The Inspectors found our pupils’ behaviour and moral understanding to be outstanding. They report, ‘Throughout the school, pupils have an excellent sense of fair play and are ready to take responsibility for their own behaviour. Their corporate and individual behaviour is excellent’. They also highlight the extensive list of pupils’ excellent attainments in scholarships and external competitions in sports, arts, music, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths).
I believe that our motto, be the best that you can be, truly encapsulates our approach to education. It is affirming that the report sees this as a particular strength of our school and demonstrates that our pupils are successfully encouraged to achieve their best both academically and personally.

Note on the ISI Inspection System
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) arranges and carries out an inspection of any school which is accredited by the Independent Schools Council (ISC).
The ISI inspects schools according to a standard framework for inspection which it has laid down for the purposes of ensuring that standards are maintained and that the school complies with relevant legal requirements. This framework has been agreed with DCSF and they have recognised the ISI as the body responsible for the regular inspection of schools in England which are affiliated to the ISC.
