The Humanities Department’s core belief is that in order to be prepared for life, we must understand the world in which we live and the diverse range of people in it. The nature of the humanity disciplines inevitably means that our students learn to understand their place in the world, the complexities of the human condition and how the modern world has come into being.
We offer trips designed to immerse our pupils in the curriculum and broaden their experience. Trips, fieldwork and residentials across the year groups are designed to foster active, independent learning
We participate in various national and local competitions designed to encourage our students to participate beyond the curriculum, foster an ethos of active learning, and reward innovation and creativity.
