Senior School Chamber Concert 2019

“Wonderful to see such excellent performances and an eclectic mix of music. The students obviously enjoy their music” (Year 7 parent)
The above quote (from an appreciative email) says it all! The Chamber Concert last night was a hugely enjoyable occasion. It showcased a wide range of soloists and ensembles from pupils in Year 7 right up to Year 13, and no instrumental family was forgotten. There was representation on the piano, violin, ukulele, harp, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, guitar and voice. We were so proud of all our soloists, not only performing with sparkle and sensitivity, but adding professional poise in terms of stage manners. The ensembles continued these features, with some added choreography! Definitely worth noting is the fact that the vocal ensembles developed and directed their music by themselves (no adult intervention) – a wonderful show of musical independence. Well done, all; a terrific evening!
