Mrs Lisa Roberts

We are mourning the passing of our Head of Drama, Lisa Roberts (nee Bailey) on 18 April after a brave battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Edward, his sons, and their three year old daughter Ella.

Lisa had been with us for nearly eight years. In that time, she was responsible for a great number of wonderful drama and dance events and helped many pupils succeed in their Drama and Dance GCSEs and A levels.

Our annual school productions are an enriching part of school life. Mrs Roberts’ Beauty and the Beast production in 2017 and Oliver in 2018 were particularly memorable. Her significant contribution to our school will be sorely missed, both as a dedicated and caring teacher and a wonderful, supportive colleague.

Mrs Roberts’ funeral took place at St Mary’s, Thorpe, on Friday 10 May. We are holding a memorial Mass for her here at school on Monday, July 1st. After mass, the whole school will take part in a sponsored walk together. The funds raised will be given to Mr Roberts, to decide how they will be best put to good use.
