Alton School U11 Netball Competition

The U11 netball squads’ spirits were in excellent condition in spite of a rather damp and gloomy autumn afternoon for the competition.

Both the A and B teams were certainly excited and ready for to play some super netball; each with six matches ahead of them.

Both teams demonstrated some great netball with some extremely tight games and results. The B team were coached and umpired by Miss Boyd who led them to a couple of wins finishing in 6th place overall.

The A team won 5 games and drew 1, which placed them joint 1st place with Churchers Junior. However, ultimately it came down to goals scored to which Alton just lost out by two, placing them in silver medal position.

A special mention must go to Four Marks Primary who played some great netball which belied the fact that it was their first ever netball tournament and only second competitive fixture!

A fantastic tournament with many thanks to Four Marks Primary, St Johns, Churchers Junior and Kingscourt for coming, as well as the parents and staff.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
